Holy shit, I'm watching tv! No, really, the evil box on my desk is showing more than sports. Stuff that wasn't cancelled before I was born this time. I finished the House marathon. I am all caught up, and ready for season 2 to start. Actually, it's more like can't wait for season 2 to start. I guess I could add a warning, even though I suspect it highly unlikely that anyone who clicks on the cut will give a shit, but there might be some kind of spoilers lurking. I don't know for a fact, as I'm writing this intro thingie beforehand. So this warning may not be neccessary, even if a warning was necessary. But as I'm usually the last person to see a movie or anything like that, I kind of doubt the necessity. I also doubt that last sentence made any sense, but I don't feel like proof-reading it. I am lazy!
Foreman is cool. I like him.
Chase sucks.
Cuddy pisses me off, or she pissed me off at first, but her character doesn't bother me that much, especially after Vogler got knocked out of the picture. But that was probably the idea.
Wilson still looks like Henry Rollins. Or whatshisface, the dude who plays the character, looks like Henry Rollins' nerdy younger brother. By 'still,' I mean after sitting through 20-some hours of the show I don't think he really bears any resemblence to Mr. Rollins, but during the first episode I saw, it was my initial reaction to yell "shhh! I can't hear what Henry Rollins is saying!" when my mom wouldn't stop asking me questions about what I was watching, who was in it, what it was about, and why I wanted to watch it.
Cameron was alright until she started being all "oooh I like House". That one where they went on a date? Hahaha. Actually, I didn't hate that one, I liked it. I'm glad I didn't watch it when it was on tv last week like I'd planned. If that had been the first episode I saw, I wouldn't have known what was going on, and I probably wouldn't have watched the 9 o'clock one. I wouldn't have spent 40 bucks on the DVD and spent the last 3 days watching all three discs.
Obviosuly, FOX wants me to say that House is my favorite character. He's the main character. Sure, it's technically an ensemble cast, but the bottom line is the show is named after that character. It's kind of like how Hawkeye is supposed to be your favorite character in M*A*SH (if you're not a die-hard Radar fan, I guess), but more blatant because the show is named after...duh. Haha, I guess if I followed my M*A*S*H analogy, I'm supposed to like Wilson. Look at it further, and the irony of comparing Wilson to BJ Hunnicutt is fucking hilarious. Trust me on that. But back to House, as this is his blurb thingie. He's a sarcastic asshole, how could he not be my favorite character?
Oh, score one for complexity. Of characters, and even if the plot is accused of being too formulaic, the premise is cool. I don't watch enough cop or medical shows to be bored like the whiny people on that one message board I read.
I really need to go to sleep now.
